The Aged Wood Company is a unique and innovative business specialising in the supply and design of naturally aged reclaimed wood.
The wood is carefully salvaged from disassembled old barns, ancient alpine chalets and historic farmhouses in the high mountain regions of the Alps and throughout Europe.
Our beautiful sustainable wood is perfect for high-end construction projects and DIY enthusiasts alike.
After recovery, our wood is rigorously checked and sorted by hand before being sympathetically processed and turned into unique products such as internal & external cladding, floor boards, decorative beams and panels.
Due to the natural aging of our wood, no two individual boards are the same.This gives every product its own inimitable appearance, distinctive patina and unique charm, enabling joiners, carpenters, interior designers, architects and furniture makers the ability to tell stories through the wood and to create their own designs whether it be in a rustic, contemporary or modern setting.
All our boards and beams are hand washed and de-nailed using special detectors before being heat treated in modern drying chambers that not only enhance the unique history of the wood but also minimizes the risk of pests, deformation, cracks or loss of colour. The key finishing processes also ensure the strength and durability of this versatile product.
